Welcome to our Wikispace:

"Collaborative Inquiry Project: Nurturing Critical Thinking in Primary Students

- District School Board of Niagara"

Rationale
We have started this wiki with 2 goals in mind:

Goal #1: To provide a common space where we can "see" our thinking as it unfolds, where we can post ideas in their messiest form, comment on them, tweak them and refine them as we go.

A wikipage has some distinct advantages when it comes to collaboration including:

a) It is a "living document". You don't have to attach files, download files, upload files and try to remember which one is your most current version. Your document is the wikipage - it displays your most recent work. However, it also saves earlier versions by date and records what changes were made. You can also have a discussion "behind the scenes" of your document by clicking on "Discussion" above.

b) You will continue to have access to it forever. We can "lock" pages once we are happy with them and want to restrict further editing and we can invite others during any point in the process to take part in our inquiry.

Goal #2: To document our journey and preserve the "artifacts" of our inquiry. We can post photographs of students working, copies of their work, quotes from students (and from each other!).

Getting Started
Click on the page listed to the left of this screen that says "Notes from Nov 4". Once that page opens, you'll see further instructions.

Need Help
For more information on how to use Wikispaces, see the help section.

If you need help, please contact wikispaces at help@wikispaces.com.

Contact Us
If you'd like, add your email to the list below for quick reference. You can do this by clicking on the "Edit" tab at the top right hand corner of this screen.
